Import Your Content

If you’re already storing all of your video in an asset management system or something similar, Episodic can help you setup content feeds to automatically import your content into Episodic. Along with the content import, Episodic can also import all of the metadata and content hierarchy so that managing your content within Episodic is similar to managing your content in your existing backend systems.

Scalable Encoding Infrastructure

The Episodic transcoding pipeline can convert and encode your content into all major video formats and codecs. Our preferred format is H.264 mp4’s, but we can also encode your content using VP6/7, Windows media and a number of other popular formats. Our transcoding pipeline is designed to work both in our own data centers and also scale up into the cloud so that we continue to provide a consistent quality of service regardless of how much stress is put on our pipeline at any given time.

Variable Encoding Speeds

Got a piece of content that needs to go up as soon as possible to make the story? Episodic provides variable encoding speeds so that you can set certain pieces of content to priority encode before other less time critical content.

Accurate Publishing Status

Episodic will show you exactly how much time is left until your transcoding and publishing is complete.

Episodic supports realtime, 2x and 3x transcoding speeds meaning that if a video is 30 minutes long you can set your transcode to complete in 30mins, 15mins or 10mins regardless of how many bitrate profiles you’ve chosen.

Manage Formats and Quality Settings

Adding new formats or adjusting your quality settings is all available self-service from the Episodic interface. Add as many 360p, 480p, 720p or 1080p formats as you like and select the formats you need to publish to the web or any web-enabled device.

Add Multiple Bitrates

Adding bitrates and formats is simple through the Episodic interface. Add as many as you need.

We’ll even show you how much time your viewers are spending in each bitrate or video format so that you can best suite your content to your audience and stop publishing in bitrate or formats that your viewers don’t use.
