Setting Up Skinning Options

Changing the look-and-feel of a player is as easy as checking a box. Add your logo to the player, decide whether or not viewers may share your player and make a number of additional changes on the flow with no coding required.

To this end, Episodic designed our player management framework to allow you to customize, manage and update players from a single place, without ever having to touch an embed code. If you want to rotate themes across sites, or change advertiser branding as time goes by, this can all be done for any player ever embedded from the Episodic console.

Player Development Kit

In the rare situations where the out-of-the-box skinning capabilities provided by Episodic don’t suffice, we provide a full-featured XML-based layout framework, ActionScript 3 and JavaScript APIs for creating your own players skins and themes. Developers can also choose to use standard web technologies like HTML and CSS to create custom player skins, working in environments where they’re already comfortable.
